Overview of the Enterprise Development Fund (EDF)

The GIEPA Act of 2015 established the Enterprise Development Fund (EDF) to provide support for entrepreneurship development by specifically giving support to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) across The Gambia.

The Enterprise Development Fund (EDF) is currently being developed by GIEPA. More information and an upcoming launch date will be listed here once available.

In accordance with the Act, the fund will consist of the following:

  • Money allocated by the National Assembly for purpose of the fund
  • Private sector contribution to the fund
  • Donations, and grants made to the fund
  • Money raised by the Agency for purpose of the fund
  • Any interest accruing to the investment of money in the fund

In accordance with the GIEPA Act of 2015, the fund will be managed by a Board of Trustees
