The two-day land scoping mission, project sensitization and consultation meetings organized by the Gambia Investment and Export Promotion Agency (GiEPA) and prospective investors mobilized by Regenerative Hub covered Upper River Region (URR) South from 12th to 13th May 2025. The initiative anchored on the national land for investment incentive initiative took both investors, facilitators and partners to Kulari and Kundam Villages respectively in the URR.

The proposal advanced as per a Regenerative Hub mobilization seeks to transform degraded land into productive, and climate-resilient agricultural ecosystems across Africa. Their current flagship pilot in The Gambia spans 1,750 hectares, combining regenerative agriculture, agroforestry, and carbon capture to create profitable, sustainable business models that are resilient and climate smart.

A new proposed investments in cereal production by the Sadot Group once finalized will enable cultivation of 10 thousand hectares of agricultural land that will drive food-self-sufficiency and boost export development, employment creation and technology transfer to communities, agronomist and experts.

By integrating innovative farming with community development, Regenerative Hub empowers local farmers especially women and youth while generating long-term returns for investors facilitated by GiEPA. The project is designed as a scalable model for expansion across Africa’s Great Green Wall, offering a unique intersection of environmental restoration and economic opportunity.

The delegation comprised of GiEPA CEO Ousainou Senghore, Regenerative Hub Cofounder – Jaha Dukureh, Mr Kailesh Ashani from Coo-Africa, Mr Igor Yasnogorodsky Eco soil President of The Gambia, Mr Sam Friedman – Sadot Group Special adviser, and GiEPA Omar Jammeh.
