Preparatory Meeting Successfully Held Ahead of Wanterr National Initiative

Last week, a successful Stakeholders’ Preparatory Meeting was held at the office of Her Worship Rohey Malick Lowe, Mayoress of Banjul, in anticipation of the upcoming Wanterr National Initiative.

The meeting convened key stakeholders, including the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of the Banjul City Council, senior council officials, the Gambia Investment and Export Promotion Agency (GIEPA) represented by  Kodou Gaye Senghore, Director of Corporate Affairs, members of the Market Senior Management Committee, as well as the CEO of Maa Foundation for Women (MFW), Fatoumata Jawara Dukureh, alongside other members of the Organizing Committee.

Discussions focused on strategic preparations, strengthening collaboration, and ensuring effective stakeholder coordination to guarantee the successful rollout of the Wanterr National Initiative. This initiative is designed as per GiEPA’s mandate to support, promote women, youth, and vulnerable groups through entrepreneurship development, business empowerment, enhanced market access, and capacity-building programs.
